Along-awaited, much-hyped mix-used development MetroPark Square is getting ready to mix it up. The district in Shenandoah, north of Houston near The Woodlands, will officially open this March. The development, located at Highway 242 and the southeast corner of I-45, was first revealed back in 2017.

Sam Moon Group to open MetroPark Square by March 2019
MetroPark Square, a 69-acre mixed use development under construction at the southeast corner of I-45 and Hwy. 242 in Shenandoah, is slated to open by March 2019, Sam Moon Group officials announced in a news release Dec. 28.
The three-phase project includes 175,000 square feet of retail space, a 325-unit apartment complex, two select service hotels, 600 units of multifamily living space and a full service hotel. The developer, Sam Moon Group, began construction on Phase 1 in November 2016.

Sam Moon Group Celebrates Topping Out of the Hyatt Regency Stonebriar
The Hyatt Regency Stonebriar is topping out its 18-story, 303-room hotel. A lunch will be held on April 12 as a celebration of reaching the construction half-way point for those working on the project. Members of the construction crew, architecture and design teams, City of Frisco, and other involved groups are expected to attend the ceremony. A tree will be hoisted on top of the hotel structure by a tower crane signaling the completion of the skeleton of the building. Sam Moon Group is the hotel developer; Brasfield & Gorrie is the contractor; HKS, Inc. is the architect and Looney & Associates is managing the interior design.

Dallas-based hotel developer Sam Moon Group and the city of Frisco broke ground on the Hyatt Regency Stonebriar at the Stonebriar Centre on May 9, 2018. The 18-story, 303-room hotel will feature a parking garage, conference center and city library. Brasfield & Gorrie is the contractor on the project.
